Sea Pines Country Club
Sea Pines Country Club was upgrading to the latest Clubessential website template ... great news! The caveat? Content needed to be reduced without sacrificing valuable keyword equity that contributed to formidable organic rankings. Weeks of editing and re-writing and boom -- a lean and mean optimized website. We also crafted new conversion-focused copy for Facebook and Google ads featuring new videos of amenities, staff and members.

PGA Show Insider
Writing travel content for the PGA Show Insider e-newsletter affords the opportunity to learn about emerging golf destinations. Amazing Morocco is a perfect example. This crossroads of European and Middle Eastern Cultures has a rapidly growing golf tourism segment. Closer to home, I interviewed Ken Kosak, General Manager at Belfair in beautiful Bluffton, South Carolina, about hosting the prestigious PGA Professional Championship.
Golf Tips Magazine
My latest article for Golf Tips details the amazing $10 million dollar renovation at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina. I've played golf all over the Carolinas, and in my opinion, this is one of our most under-rated destinations. Always up for a trip south of the border, I was also tapped to write a comprehensive overview of Mexico's numerous luxury resorts for the magazine's travel annual.
The South Strand of Myrtle Beach has always been one of my favorite golf getaways in the Palmetto State. This Lowcountry region of former rice and indigo plantations boasts golf courses like Caledonia Golf and Fish Club, True Blue and Pawleys Plantation. Fans of golf in the Old North State can check out my articles on two underrated golf regions: the Triad and the Brunswick Islands.
Golf Oklahoma Magazine
Golf Oklahoma is one of the longest running golf association magazines in the U.S., and longtime editor Ken MacLeod always serves up the perfect blend of association, industry and travel content. It was my pleasure (and honor) to pen a roundup of travel offerings from Pinehurst Resort and Destination Kohler. You can flip to the article on page 40.
Building golf courses in retired quarries is uniquely American. I researched and wrote about this trend for GolfTrips.com, a collection of state-focused golf-travel websites. Two of my favorite tracks made the list, the Quarry Course at Black Diamond and Quarry at Giants Ridge. Also, check out this piece on value-packed shoulder season golf destinations.
